Even my guess about a certain someone that Chiamaka seemed to be befriending and falling in love with was wrong! Not a single thing I guessed was correct. When I say that none of my guesses about who Aces was were right, I really do mean it. This portion of my review is a little spoilery, so tread carefully! This author is a master, and I genuinely cannot wait to see more mysteries or thrillers from her. Àbíké-Íyímídé managed to lead the reader through various clues and foreshadowing, take them to a conclusion that you wouldn’t have seen coming, and yet still made it a satisfying ending.Įvery single incident and named character, no matter how seemingly insignificant, factors in later on in the story.
